XRD is inside Slush (Helsinki Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre) in the “Factory” space, on November 21st, at 2.30pm to 5.30pm. If you wish to attend, please register for the event HERE. Note you’ll need a Slush ticket to attend.

About Adaora Udoji
Adaora is a media innovator; award-winning storytelling with expertise in emerging technology, having developed immersive experiences for the likes Google Daydream, among other roles. She develops media, sources new technology, helps build content, products, and teams. She currently heads a corporate innovation and venture program team at RLab, a New York City initiative focused on spatial computing, the next generation of user interfaces- virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, gesture, voice, and neural networks. Previously, she ran a media-tech startup, News Deeply, worked in venture capital and as a journalist covered some of the most compelling stories of our time from the Iraq war to Hurricane Katrina and the election of President Barack Obama for ABC News, CNN and public radio. For those contributions, she’s won many awards including recognition by The National Academy of Television Arts, and Sciences and the Alfred I. duPont–Columbia University Award for reporting on the Afghan war and Hurricane Katrina respectively.

She is an adjunct professor at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program at the Tisch School of the Arts and on the board of NEW Inc of the New Museum. She advises the Knight Foundation Journalism 360 Challenge, SXSW Pitch, the VRAR Association, the Guggenheim Museum Global Innovation Council and mentors at the Op’Ed Project.

In 2019 she was named a juror for the Tribeca Film Festival Storyscapes (immersive storytelling competition). Adaora has produced a number of short films and documentaries including: “Girl Talk” and “Yemi’s Wedding” (Imbd profile). Previously, she was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at WeWork Labs. Inc. Magazine named her among the most influential speakers in tech.

She lives in Brooklyn and holds dual American and Irish citizenship which has made it easy for her to have lived on four continents, Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and North America.
